'urdu' ghazal in English translation:

1.uThhte rahe’nge dil mai’n, tuufaan sai’nkaRo’n hai’n,
nikle hazaaro’n phir bhi, armaan sai’nkaRo’n hai’n.
(I’ve hundreds of thousands storms of ambitions in my heart, breathing.
Lots of wishes have been fulfilled though, even then millions are still being.)

2.ai jahaan-e-be muravvat, zara soch kar sazaa de,
tiri fard-e-jurm se bhi, a’njaan sai’nkaRo’n hai’n.
(I want unjust people to tell before they award punishment to someone.
They must know mistakes can happen by lovers innocently with no intention.)

3.ik bhi vafa huva kab, us bevafa se va’ada,
fehrist-e-dil mai’n ‘ehd-o-paimaan, sai’nkaRo’n hai’n.
(My chart of heart carries too many promises of my sweetheart.
But unfortunately any of the promises has not been kept on her part.)

4. mei’n hi nahee’n huu’n tanhaa, vaarufta-o-deevaana.
tiri chashm-e-surmagee’n par, qurbaan sai’nkaRo’n hai’n.
(I’m not the only one who lost his mind on your raving charm.
There are many who offer their heart to you to keep their passions warm.)

5.chehro’n pe laakh chehre, pardo’n pe laakh parde,
insaaniyyat ke peechhe, shaitaan sai’nkaRo’n hai’n.
(There are faces behind faces, curtains over curtains, fallacies do abound.
Satins follow human being everywhere, bullying them all around.)

6.jeena agar saza hai, jeena hai phir bhi laazim,
lamhaat mukhtsar hai’n, bohtaan sai’nkaRo’n hai’n.
(Living is though sufferings, but surviving is necessary without exception.
Within our lives we have to bear lots of accusations of non-deception.)

7.apna bhi aik ‘Ashraf’, ho jaaye kya bura hai,
bazm-e-adab mai’n yuu’n to, deevaan sai’nkaRo’n hai’n.
(There are lots of books of poetry of many renowned lyricists in literary universe.
I would feel happy to add mine collection of poems too in the area of verse.)
