'urdu' ghazal in English translation:

1.hamaisha zabt ke haathho'n, huva khoo'n shaadmaani ka,
ada hota raha he qarz, yuu'n bhi zindgaani ka.
(My patience and forbearance, though makes bleed my happiness.
But the debt of my life activities can only be paid off through this process.)

2. meri tanhaaiyo'n ka saath, kab gham ne, kabhi chhoRa,
shab-e-gham mai'n, sada daikha, tamaasha aag paani ka.
(My dejection in love, ever keeps my loneliness busy, more or less.
So I'm addicted to see the play of fires and waters every night of my sadness.)

3. jigar zakhmi, nazar khoo'nbaar, dil TukRe, huwa jis me'n,
(When in the process of love our inner hurts and aches, eyes burst into tears.
Then we dream of our juvenile in vain which had power against hardship to bear.)

(I expressed my love to draw attention of my beloved and reached this result.
She became angry and did scratch my name from the slate of her heart.)

5. faqat tairi judaaie se, sabaat-e-zindgi apna.
nahee'n yeh mo'ajaza koie, hamaari jaa'n-fishaani ka.
(My survival in love depends on the encouragement my loneliness did extend.
There is not any sacrifice I made or on any miracle I did depend .)

(My love usually remained entrapped in melancholy and desperation.
Thats why I don't afraid of anyone, or any unseen calamity and dejection.)

(I neither complain of your faithless or grumble on your departing.
Your continual memories in fact keep me in state of resentment and hurting.)

8. agar tairi nazar maire, jigar ke kaam aa jaati.
havaa ke dosh par karta' safar mei'n zindgaani ka.
(If I would have complied with your sayings, wishes, and wills.
May be I could travel on the shoulders of wind, which moves freely around the hills.)

(‘Ashraf’ soon as my sweetheart ordered me not to beg love from her.
I obeyed her orders though but my silent language still makes her hyper.)
