'urdu' ghazal in English translation:

1. parde mai'n dosti ke, jo dushmani kare'nge,
kya khaak paish un ko, hum zindgi kare'nge.
(Those friends who behind the curtain of friendship will do conspiracy.
We can't embrace their wishes and award them our life's insight sanctity.)

2. woh hum ko bhool jaane se, paishtar bataa'e'n,
hum apni chaahato'n mai'n, kaise kami kare'nge.
(O, my love! before you forget and desert me for any reason, please do tell me.
How I can decrease my love for you which has become the part of my body?)

3. un ko wafaa hamaari, jakRe gii daikhh laina,
kab tak sitam tumhaare, aawaargi kare'nge.
(I assure and guarantee you (my love) one day my loyalty will entrap your disdain.
My good attitude will chain your cruelty, and your hate for me, will no longer sustain.)

4. kuchh kaar-e-shaitnat jo, shaitaan kar na paayaa,
woh kaam daikh laina, insaan hi kare'nge.
(Here in this world some satanic jobs, which remain unaccomplished by the devilry.
The left over mischievous work, friends of rouges (humans) will perform happily.)

5. tanhaa'i'yo'n ko hum ne, apnaa liya hai, kyuu'nke,
milne peh unkahi kuch, hum baat bhi kare'nge.
(Purposely, I've adopted the loneliness and desertion, for my consolation.
Because I know on meeting with my beloved, she will avoid my conversation.)

6. is dil peh zakhm mai'n ne, yuu'nhi nahee'n sajaaye,
dil mei'n khabi to maire, yeh roshni kare'nge.
(I have been decorating the wounds of love on my heart, for some reasons.
Those will always remind me of my love and enlighten my vision.)

7. kuchh dair 'aql ko bhi, daite rahe hai'n chhutti,
kuchh kaar hum ne socha, baikaar bhi kare'nge.
(Sometimes, we must send our wisdom and awareness on vacation.
We should leave ourselves alone to do foolish and without sensation.)

8. pehle miri mohabbat ki, haa’n mai’n haa’n milaa’o,
phir aur baat koie, hum duusari kare’nge.
(O my love, first we must so intimate to say 'yes' to each other’s ideas and opinions,
It can be evaluated later, how good we can become better chums and companions?)

9. qatl-e-wafa ka shaiva, 'Ashraf' unhai'n mubarak,
hum to khuloos-e-niyyat, se 'aashiqi kare'nge.
(O my love, 'Ashraf' congratulates you on your hateful and worse attitude.
But remember, your such posture won't change my devotional aptitude.)
